Kristine Elieson (Horne)

Kristine Louise Kristine Louise Horne, beloved sister, wife, mother, and grandmother passed away Wednesday morning February 18, 2009. Kristine was born May 5, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the fifth of nine children, born to Walter and Beverly Elieson. Kristine graduated from Olympus High School in Salt Lake City and attended the University of Utah. Kristine and her husband Danny were married in the Salt Lake City Utah Temple December 17, 1980. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -day Saints, she served in various callings; her favorite was serving in the Primary organization with young children. Her children and her family were her greatest joy in life. Kristine loved going camping with her family and enjoying many outdoor activities. She was a Utah girl, excellent skier and mountain climber, who moved to Texas and became candy maker extraordinaire. Kristine is survived by her husband Danny, and their six children: Andrew (Jennifer), Stephanie (Brad) Morris, Austin, Jared, Ryan, Megan, and granddaughter Brooke Morris. Kristine had a deep and abiding faith in Heavenly Father and a love for her Savior Jesus Christ. She is also survived by four brothers, four sisters, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -day Saints, Waxahachie, Texas. In lieu of flowers please donate to The LDS Perpetual Educational Fund or Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Interment is scheduled for Tuesday February 24, 2009 at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery in Utah. Published in Dallas Morning News on February 22, 2009
