Lynn "Lynco" Whatcott
In Loving Memory
Lynn "Lynco" Whatcott passed away peacefully December 18th, 2013 at the age of 59, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Lynn was born in Salt Lake City to Lavell and Bessie Whatcott. Lynn married the love of his life, Roxy (Peters) Whatcott, on May 21st, 1977. They were blessed with two children, Jason and Tyler.
Lynn was never afraid of a challenge. He was an entrepreneur his entire life. He started his first business, Lynco Sales & Service, at the young age of 20. He sold this business after 18 successful years and purchased a Snap-On Tools franchise. He earned multiple awards in his life, from various national recognitions in small engine repair, to being the top salesman for Snap-On. He was very successful at everything he put his mind to. Lynn taught family and friends what it meant to be close with those around you, and how to work hard for the ones you loved.
His passions included spending time with his family, woodworking, camping, hunting, fishing, working, learning, and helping anyone in need of a hand.
He is survived by his wife Roxy; children Jason (Stephanie), Tyler (Emily); and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 21st at 1:30 p.m. at the Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 W. 4100 S., West Valley City, Utah 84120. Friends and loved ones are invited to attend a viewing and visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., prior to the services.
In lieu of sending flowers, donations can be made at any Wells Fargo branch to the Lynn Whatcott Memorial Fund. These donations will help cover the many medical expenses that helped keep Lynn comfortable in his final weeks.
